For the Jewish Visitor
Your Jewish Guide to Mammoth
Skiing, hiking, fishing, or breathing mountain air — here's how to do it without leaving your Yiddishkeit at home.
Know Before You Go
What Mammoth Has to Offer
The mountain has everything — and now it has a Jewish home too.
Set Shabbat Weekends
Through the season we announce set weekends with full Shabbat programming — Friday night dinner, minyan, and Shabbat day kiddush. Planning a trip? Ask us which upcoming weekends are set, or plan your trip around one. Call or WhatsApp (847) 452-4609.
Minyan & Davening Times
Davening times change with the week and the season. Reach out for this week's schedule — and if you need a minyan for Kaddish or a yahrzeit, tell us in advance and we'll do everything we can to gather one for you.
Hotels Near the Chabad House
Several hotels in and around the Village — like the Village Lodge and neighboring properties — are about a ten-minute walk from us: close enough for Shabbat. We don't publish our exact address, but reach out and we'll share it personally and help you book the right spot.
Kosher Food, Planned Ahead
There's no kosher restaurant in Mammoth — but with at least two weeks' notice we'll have fresh kosher meals ready for your whole stay: breakfast, lunch and dinner, dairy or meat. Order on the kosher page.
Torah While You're Here
Weekly Torah classes and a monthly Kabbalah evening run year-round, and visitors are always welcome to join — or to book one-on-one learning while in town. See the classes.
The Mikvah Project
We're working to bring Mammoth its first mikvah — a game-changer for Jewish travel to the Eastern Sierra. Read about it and partner with us.
Coming for Shabbos?
Let Us Know You're Coming
Tell us about your trip and we'll take it from there — meals, minyan, hotel advice, the works.
The Mountains Are Calling
And there's a Shabbos table waiting when you get here.
