The Mikvah Project
Mammoth's First Mikvah
The mark of a permanent Jewish community — and the next thing we're building together.
Why a Mikvah
Water That Makes a Town Jewish
In Jewish law, a mikvah comes before a synagogue — before even a Torah scroll. It's the quiet foundation of Jewish family life, and its absence is the single biggest gap for Jewish families living in or visiting the Eastern Sierra. Today, the nearest mikvah is hours of mountain driving away.
We're working to change that: a beautiful, modern mikvah right here in Mammoth Lakes — serving residents, visitors, and every Jewish family within a hundred miles who has been quietly doing without.
This is the kind of project that carries a family's name for generations. If you want to be part of it — as a founding partner, a dedicator, or a monthly builder — we'd be honored to talk.
Put Your Name on This Merit
Every partnership level can be dedicated in honor or in memory of someone you love. Reach out to talk about founding partnerships — or give any amount toward the mikvah fund with a dedication.
Write “Mikvah” in the dedication box and your entire gift is set aside for the project.
